Mementos Entwined

ARTIST INFO:

Gina Iacovelli is the South Carolina-based artist behind Mementos Entwined; a bespoke jewelry line with a focus on honoring the depth of love, through the acknowledgment of the brevity of life.

Inspired by the sentimental & mourning jewelry of the 18th & 19th centuries, lacovelli began studying the nearly lost art of table braiding and palette-working human hair, experimenting with instructions from mid-19th century lady’s journals. It is her goal to shine light on the sentiments behind these jewels, and see them return in a modern fashion.
